Outside the Box features twelve public art installations inspired by contemporary and historical aspects of Belle Glade and Pahokee, in Palm Beach County’s Lake Region.
Artists based in The Palm Beaches created original two-dimensional artworks with diverse materials that were translated onto adhesive vinyl wraps, transforming traffic signal boxes into three-dimensional sculptures and pedestrian scale murals all rolled into one.
Traffic signal boxes are ideal “canvases” to enhance streetscapes, humanize the built environment and foster a unique sense of place for residents and visitors to The Lake Region. Read More Click Here

Artist Statement
Art has been a part of my life from early on and I have been making art as long as I can remember. My first art sale was a pen and ink drawing from a church in Utrecht, The Netherlands. I am mostly self taught but have taken numerous art classes from different artists of which the most memorable are mentioned below. I sell my art online via our Hennevelt’s Gallery website, at local art shows and on commission.
I am a sculptor, wood carver, painter and photographer but my main interest is in sculpting and painting. What I love is what I paint and sculpt and what I most of all love is Fantasy and Wild Life Art. My love for nature comes from hikes and camping trips in the beautiful nature parks of Europe and America. I always carry my camera and sketchbook and photograph and draw the birds and other animals that I spot.
The Fantasy art is just the best fun you can have in art in my opinion. You can come up with anything and everything and it can never be too crazy. You can design new worlds with animals and characters and sculpt or paint it to give it life.
I am a creator and will always create because it makes me happy. It’s great to see others love my work and to make a connection with people through art.
